Hi friend! How’s your start to the new year going? I’ve officially packed up Christmas and the kids are back to school today, so I guess you could say, the party’s over.
Or, maybe it’s just beginning with a fresh start. That sounds like a better way to look at it, but I’m still a little sad that the holidays are over. Thankfully, they’ll come around again!
THE TOP 21 POSTS OF 2021
I love looking back and seeing what we’ve done in the last year. I’m so grateful for each and every one of you that takes time out of your busy day to spend it with me. Y’all are simply the best and always so encouraging and thoughtful. Even if you just stop by and never comment, I see you and thank you for being here!
It’s always interesting to me to see what kinds of posts resonated most with you and were the most popular of the year. I looked at my Google Analytics to see what the most viewed posts of 21 were and came up with this list! I put them in order of most popular, but there’s something from every category- fashion, fitness, and home decor.
Amazon fashion posts have continued to be the favorite of the bunch, and that’s why I do two a month, generally every other Friday. It still amazes me that after years of sharing Amazon outfits, I can still find new things to share with you. Some things aren’t recommendation worthy, so I skip those, but lots of things are keepers and in my own everyday wardrobe!
This post from March 22, 2021 was the top Amazon fashion post of the year. Our Spring Break was just ending, and the post had lots of Spring dresses, shorts & jeans outfits, plus swimsuits and coverups.
In 2020, I started a weekly series on Stories and where I share things I find useful in my day-to-day life. It’s nothing extravagant, just little things that make life a bit sweeter. Hence the title!
You can catch the next one live on my Stories today!
We managed to do a little traveling in 2021, and the trip to Playa Mujeres with Brian did not disappoint. We stayed at the Excellence all-inclusive resort and both of us agreed we’d love to go back! This post has a full trip recap in case you’re interested.
Seems like we are all about the one-pieces these days. This post has tons of stylish suits that you’ll feel both comfortable and confident in!
I’ve been minimizing over the past couple of years and really need to give y’all a new look inside. The contents of my drawers and cabinets have been reduced even further and it’s given me so much more breathing room – mentally and physically. Here, I show you how I’ve organized everything in my kitchen.
I’ll have a new post up for you on Thursday with all of our 2021 decor updates, but for now this popular post shows some new decor items and James’ updated bathroom.
In our first ever combined family trip, Brian and I took the kids to Seaside last summer. My mantra for the trip was EAT . PLAY . RELAX . REPEAT and we did just that!
Lots of you were itching for a little getaway last year too. I took my mom and the kids to San Antonio for a short road trip and we really had a great time.
I’m often sharing the things I use and recommend on a daily basis, but did you know there’s also lots of things I don’t buy. See what they are here!
It wouldn’t be the start of the year without some healthy meal prep ideas. I’ll be sharing my new year fitness challenge with you next week, but in the meantime, this healthy meal prep post was a hit with y’all.
My love of organizing continues and here I’m sharing my master closet. Don’t tell anyone, but I’ve also been daydreaming about becoming a professional organizer. I’m not sure that will ever happen, but organizing makes me so happy and most of my home is streamlined, so I’d love to start helping others organize their spaces!
Wow, I just realized I haven’t done one of these posts in awhile! Is that something you’d like to see again soon? Let me know in the comments.
It seems that we are all looking for ways to make our lives easier and simpler. This post has a few new healthy recipes too!
We all love it when Ali-Shaun joins the party! She’s so much fun and I’m not surprised she made your top 21 of the year!
I’ve been wanting to do another one of these capsule wardrobe posts. Even though I love to get dressed up, when I’m working at home, I tend to gravitate toward the same few outfits anyway. I’m thinking of documenting what I actually wear for a period of time and sharing that with you. Would you enjoy that?
Brian and I went to NYC for his birthday in September. He was already there for work, so I joined him and we spent two days walking, eating, sightseeing and did I mention eating?! This post has what I packed and below is our trip recap.
I still meal prep every week, especially when I’m trying to eat extra healthy. It saves so much time in the long run, not to mention all that mental energy we spend wondering what we’re going to eat next. Of course you’ve had that never ending loop conversation with your partner, “what do you want to eat for dinner?” “I don’t know, what do you want?”
I haven’t made this in awhile and now I’m craving it! Putting the ingredients into my Walmart+ membership app now!
Have you checked out Old Navy lately? I don’t shop there that often, but when I do, I love to share what I found.
This post had styles from Loft, Nordstrom, Express and Walmart. What’s your favorite retailer to shop? What dressing room post would you like to see next?
I’d love to hear what kind of content you’re looking forward to in 2022! More fashion, home, beauty, fitness, organization, productivity, day in the life?? Let me know in the comments- I read every one!
Have a fantastic day friend!
